Congratulations to the Black Team for a fantastic 2nd place finish in the USA Cup held in Blaine, MN in July.
The USA Cup is the largest youth soccer tournament in the western hemisphere hosting teams from throughout the country and the world. The Roadrunners Black team was seeded in the top bracket of their age group and won the pool play over Colorado Xtreme Impact, BYSA Inferno (MN), and Westside FC Lupi (MN). Roadrunners advanced to the semi-finals where they won a tight and strategic game against Cruz Azul of Mexico by the score of 1-0. The Roadrunners fell to Naperville Lightning in the finals, but enjoyed a very successful tournament and international play.
Congratulations also goes out the the Downers Grove Roadrunners U16 Black team for their second place finish as well!
